Things to do that are fun and almost free!
Arts & Crafts:
This is something we can all do, and it has lots of practical use.
Christmas is coming and you could save lots of money giving crafted
items to people. Saving you money and having a better gift for
friends and family.

Candle making: We have gone to the thrift store and bought a bunch
of cheap candles. They were cheap because they were used.
We melted down the wax and made new candles. We also bought
some nice-looking containers at the thrift store and used those
containers for new candles.

Canoes and Kayaks:
This is fun activity to do on the water. We paddle out to the sandbars
in St. Joseph Sound in Dunedin Florida. Sharks, Stingrays and lots
of other big fish would come right up to the kayaks.
We had a pod of dolphins play with us. Then charged at the kayaks
and just as they reached us, they dove under!

Geocaching:
This activity is great. Your outside and searching for a treasure.
The treasures hunt is a shared experience. People all over earth
participate in geocaching. I have personally sent a geocache item
to Europe! You can follow your traveling caches on the

Traveling:

We love traveling around America using our DIY mini campers.
Hawaii is the only state we haven’t visited. It’s hard to pick a favorite
state because all the area we have gone were beautiful in some way.
We favor states with trees, but the deserts have their own beautiful
things. The first time through the desert we only wanted to get through it.
Later we were watching YouTube and Wonder HussySarah Woodall
came on. She lives in the desert and show people with her videos
all the great things in the desert. Now we can’t wait to get back
to the desert! I’ll take some deep dives into traveling shortly.

Games:
Many people have game night with family and friends.
It’s a great time to socialize, share food and stores and play games.
We personally like dominos. It’s fun and lots of people can play.
Dominos is also easy to learn and play.

Social Clubs:
In earlier days we joined lots of social organization. I was a member of:
Eagles, Moose, Elks, AMVETs and others. It was always fun and there
was an activity every weekend. While traveling we would stay many
weekends at Elks Lodge all around America.

Gardening:
Well growing some of your own food might be a good idea these days.
With tariffs on everything including food we will need find other ways
to get food. That’s where the garden comes in. You don’t need much
space to have a garden. I’ve used the ground and large pots.
I no longer use the ground because the critters eat the veggies
before me! I now stick with large pots. It’s easier to maintain,
weed and re-plant. Give it a try soon because it takes time for a
vegetable to grow. There is a growing amount of information
in Gardening link.

Photography:
My photography from around America. I use Canon cameras.
A Canon T3i and a 79D with various zoom lenses. My favorite
zoom is 100-400mm Canon. It was expensive but trying to take
pictures of animals with a close-up lens is dangerous. I have
traveled to 49 states and have taken many pictures. How
I organize all my pictures is always a challenge,
