Using Flyby11 app on my acer laptop computer I was able to update to Windows 11.
My laptop didn’t qualify for an upgrade to Windows 11.
The computer was perfectly fine for what I needed.
In October 2025 Microsoft is going to stop supporting Windows 10.
I have had no problems with Windows 10 but Windows 11 is better.
I have a regular mini desktop computer running Windows 11 and I like it.
Ask Your Computer Guy had a video on how to use flyby11. That’s what I
watched and followed his advice. Caveat here computers can be tricky,
you may have no problems like me but you might crash and burn!
Linex is always an option. I use Ziron on a laptop. Microsoft Edge is installed
on it. Using Edge web-browser I’m able to open all my Window work files
using the cloud!
My laptop failed the TPM check.
W-11 wants TPM to be 2.0 and mine was set at 1.0!
Other than that, there is no problem with the laptop!
On YouTube I watched several videos on flyby11.
They made is look fairly easy and used Microsoft’s own ISO files.
The acer was going to be useless to me shortly, so I took a chance.
If everything failed, my backup plan was to install Ziron (Linex) on it.
First thing I did was backed up everything I wanted from the laptop to an external HD.
Then I downloaded Flyby11 and executed the program and held my breath.
I then went to Microsoft’s own website and downloaded and ISO file for Windows 11 x64.
About two hours later the computer came back on!
Everything was still there, and Windows 11 was working.
They said there is a chance Microsoft won’t give updates on this kind of older computer.
I can report that for my computer it’s updating Windows 11 when updates are ready, for now.
