Frugal Way News

Have you noticed the newly homeless people!
Many people are on YouTube now explaining their plight.
Seems like every day I see a new video of a woman living in a car.
They start out telling folks they have just lost their place,
and they have nothing. There are also lots of younger people
and most of them are woman. There is big problem brewing here
in America. Society is not trying in any way to improve
the plight of the poor. This is wrong and bad.
We all need to vote for something better than a bunch
of billionaires running our country.
If you have land, you should consider helping someone.
Better to live in a small trailer than on a park bench!

Please support NPR and PBS with a donation today.
We all benefit by their services and supporting them
is the right thing to do. Trump and other MAGA government
officials felt it was their job to cut funding for lots of great
programs this year. They cut foreign aid for starving poor people
all over the world. They didn’t stop there. They cut our Medicare,
SNAP programs, NPR, PBS, Planned Parenthood, FEMA,
NOAA and other programs.
They did manage to help one group of people suffering here in America,
THE WEATHY!!!

Resist paying for paywalls on the internet.
That adds up faster than cable TV ever cost.
Everyone with a website or channel wants you to pay more
directly to them. I know why: Google has cut their payouts
to creators.

Now the video creators are getting some money from YouTube,
some money from sponsorships and the pay me more wall.
I many cases I wouldn’t mind pay a little money to support
these folks. But I’m already paying YouTube Prime membership.
The creators aren’t asking for $2 or $3, they want $5 and $10 or more!
It’s all out of control.

If a good creator with lots of followers gets 1000 people to pay them
$5.00 per month. That’s $5,000 a month and $60,000 a year.
I don’t have any problem with them making money like that.
But to their loyal followers it should be a reasonable price.
Many good creators don’t have paywalls! They want people
to see what they create. I’d rather send them $20 occasionally
rather than sign up for $10 a month!

I do donate monthly to NPR and PBS.
