Buying new or used?

Class C Camper

Buying new or used things?
Given a choice to buy new or older used items what would you do?
Many would automatically pick the new stuff.
But the old item might be a much better choice.

Cars and trucks are a good example. New cars might have problems that won’t be
known for a while. Maybe a transmission will fail at 50K miles. A motor that
breaks down sooner than it should. When you buy an older vehicle those bugs
have already been fixed!

Older appliances won’t have as many electronics in it.
The few electronics inside is less stuff to fail.

We watched a video of some folks from Irland traveling around the USA.
They bought a very old RV Class C to travel in. They reasoned
that old trucks with less electronics would be easier to maintain.
They were right; every time that Class C broke down, they fixed it fast and easy.
Lesson learned! To see them and their camper click here Philly & Keely.

Shopping for used things just might be better.
Less stuff for the junk pile. Lower prices for consumers.
It’s a win for everyone.
