Walmart prices
In the last few weeks prices at Walmart have jumped up.
I’ve seen big changes in the price of hamburger.
A couple months ago, before Trump was tariffing everything, hamburger was about $6 per pound.
Now it’s well over $8! That’s a very big jump in the price. Hamburger isn’t the
only thing that’s more expensive. Almost everything is out of control.
People are going to start really feeling bad about the cost of food.
Walmart Hamburger Prices
One thing we try to find in Walmart are the yellow
labels. That saves us some money. We will take
this food home and either cook it right away or freeze it.

This picture of hamburger was a few weeks ago.
The price was only $6.29, for the yellow labeled meat.
The regular price was 7.67. Now it is closer to $8.75!

People are going to be looking for alternatives to
expensive beef.

To save some money you should look for those
yellow labels. Walmart’s fresh bread is marked down the next day
to under a $1. We love to make toast out of it.

Good thing about the high cost of food.
If you’re calorie counting it will be lots easier to eat less with current food prices!
I put out an article today about calorie counting. It’s all about the consequences
of eating too many calories. You probably don’t realize how far
you’ll have to walk to burn those calories off.  Click here to read article.

Garden Green Peppers!
To live in the Frugal Class, you must try to be self-sufficient as best you can.
Here in Florida, on my little plot of land in Palm Harbor, I try my best
to grow some garden plants that we can harvest. I’ve had good luck with
tomatoes, peppers, radishes, onions and beans. Here the sun is too hot
for most plants in the summer. I use shade tarps over the plants and noticed
right away they were doing better. Now we are in full summer heat and plants
Green Peppersdon’t do as well when it’s this hot.
My tomato plants are still green but
no fruit.

The pepper plants are growing strong.
Peppers are a tropical plant.
I find many of the spice plants are doing
well and Onion plant also.

We have a big Mango tree in the backyard.
It has delivered lots of big, delicious fruit
this year.
