Burning Calories or Eat Less Calories?
Think about this before you eat anything!
Ask yourself is it easier to burn a calorie or not eat a calorie?
A donut is about 300 calories! Glazed donuts maybe 350 calories.
A chocolate chip cookie is about 150 calories.
One slice of pepperoni pizza is about 300 calories.
One can of beer is about 150 calories.
A 12 oz soda is about 150 calories.
One plate of delicious spaghetti with meat sauce is about 600 calories.
Most would eat two helping of any pasta!
Ok, so what about it?
Well did you know that the average man doing nothing more than living
burns about 2,500 calories a day. An average woman burns about 1,800
calories per day according to Healthline.com.
If you don’t do anything, just sit there, you’ll need about the average amount
of calories to live. Thats the energy your body needs to get to tomorrow.
The problem is most of us eat more than the average amount of calories burned per day!
Then we get fatter and begin to have health issues.
Knowledge is important.
Approximately 3,500 calories are in one pound of fat!
If you’re 10 pounds overweight, you have an extra 35,000 calories to burn!
According to my interpretation of the information from Bing.com searches.
I’ll walk off the extra calories.
Did you know that a person weighting about 180 pounds
burns around 100 calories per mile walked!
A person that weight about 120 pounds walking a mile
will burn around 65 calories. So, for one glazed donut with about
350 calories you’ll have to walk about 3.5 miles.
One chocolate chip cookie equals about 1.5 miles.
A plate of spaghetti at 600 calories is a 6-mile walk!
I didn’t ever consider ice cream!
Summary
I believe we all have to do better at exercising and getting healthier.
We also need to look at our food consumption.
It’s easier to eat less, not pack in all those calories.
Think about the miles you’ll have to walk
to burn those calories. It might be healthier and easier to re-think eating.
There are way less calories in veggies and other healthy foods.
All this analysis is by me and I’m not an expert on calories.
But the information has some truth to it and is worth consideration.
You should do your own homework so you will know more.
